Our type in human design sheds light on how we are each uniquely meant to operate and use our energy. Learning your type can be so particularly useful in career, because it is an area where many people feel misaligned and off-track. Honoring how you are meant to operate and best use your energy in your career is a beautiful way to find more flow, ease and success.

So today, I wanted to share some notes on what a dream career might look like for each human design type, as well as a few reflection questions to help you find alignment in your career as you move forward.

A dream career for a Projector

  • One where you feel seen and appreciated for your unique gifts.
  • One where your perspective is invited in an acted upon.
  • One where you can work from home or in your own energy whenever you desire.
One where the ebbs and flows of your energy are honored and you’re not expected to be on and available all the time.
  • One that gives you space to cultivate your mastery and get better at what you do.
  • One where you feel well-compensated and successful.
  • One that gives you energy.

Ask yourself: What do you see as your gifts? Where do you feel invited to share them? Where do you feel appreciated as the absolute gift you are?

A dream career for a Generator

  • One that you wake up excited to invest your energy in.
  • One where the problems that arise feel worth your energy and worth solving.
  • One that leaves you feeling deeply satisfied and fulfilled at the end of the day.
  • One where you feel your precious energy is honored and valued, not taken advantage of.
  • One where your gut feeling is respected.
  • One you landed in not because you thought you were supposed to, but simply because it felt right.
  • One where your clients and collaborators bring you joy.

Ask yourself: What is bringing you the most joy and satisfaction right now? Are you investing your energy there? What is your gut pulling towards?

A dream career for a Reflector

  • One that feels aligned with where you are in your life in this precise moment.
  • One where you feel uplifted by your clients and collaborators and the spaces you work in.
  • One that gives you a platform to share your perspective and effect change purely through how you see.
  • One where your insights are treasured.
  • One that makes you feel free, not confined.
  • One where you can work around others when inspired and work alone when you need.
  • One where you feel free to honor no one else’s process but your own.

Ask yourself: Where does your perspective feel treasured and your gifts most clearly seen? Which people and spaces feel best to be with and in?

A dream career for a Manifesting Generator

  • One that feels fluid and ever-evolving based on what’s lighting you up in the moment.
  • One that feels full of possibility and growth rather than contained or stagnant.
  • One that gives you freedom to move your energy around as you please between different projects and passions.
  • One that gives you space to move fast and honor no one else’s flow but your own.
  • One that remains exciting.
  • One that can’t be predicted.
  • One you landed in not because you thought you should, but simply because it felt right.
  • One where your collaborators bring you joy.

Ask yourself: What feels most aligned and exciting right now? Where is your gut pulling you?

A dream career for a Manifestor

  • One rooted in freedom.
  • One where you feel inspired to disrupt the way things have been done.
  • One where you’re doing things differently.
  • One where you’re not expected to be constantly available, but can honor what you have the energy for and when.
  • One where your need for time alone is honored.
  • One where you feel deeply supported by others in your visions.
  • One where you’re not expected to follow a traditional path or do things in a way anyone else has done.
  • One that is a pure expression of your power and authenticity.

Ask yourself: Where do you feel most free? What do you feel inspired and on fire to make happen?
